Mandelon bistro

From mid-June to mid-October, this is a place where locals and visitors alike can meet and enjoy each other's company. At the bottom of the Val des Dix, an easily accessible mountain pasture road leads to the Mandelon mountain pasture and its refreshment bar.
The refreshment bar features local produce: home-made rösti, fondue, planchette de l'alpage and croûte au fromage.  In autumn, a menu of game dishes. 
The refreshment bar's terrace enjoys a magnificent panorama until the last light of day, from which you can watch the marmots and the cows come home. 
Inside, there are around thirty seats in a former ‘chotte’ converted into a refreshment bar-restaurant with a terroir feel. The old mountain pasture boiler takes pride of place in the middle of the room, and the tables were made from the floor of the stables, giving them a very special colour (cow urine, of course!!!).

During the mountain pasture season, from the end of June to the end of September, you'll find a cheese shop selling sérac, tomes and raclette cheese.

August: 9am-10pm, open 7/7

September and October: 9am-10pm, closed Sunday at 5pm and Monday

November: closed

December to March: open Thursday to Sunday, 9am to 10pm (gîtes can be booked outside the opening period on request)
