Val des Dix/Pralong
From mid-June to mid-October, Alexandre and his team have turned this place into a meeting place where conviviality and authenticity are mixed between locals and visitors. At the bottom of the Val des Dix, an easily accessible alpine road leads to the Mandelon alpine pasture and its refreshment bar.
The refreshment bar features local products: homemade rösti, fondue, alpine plank, cheese crust, not forgetting Nicole's homemade desserts. The speciality: pork loin with morels. The must: the Glareyarde fondue to share with friends on reservation. In autumn, a menu of hunting dishes.
The terrace of the refreshment room offers a magnificent panorama until the last light of day, from which you can observe the marmots and watch the cows returning from the slopes.
Inside, there are about thirty seats in a former "chotte" which has been rehabilitated as a refreshment bar-restaurant in a local spirit. The old boiler of the mountain pasture is in the middle of the room and the tables were made from the floor of the stables, which gives them a very special colour (cow urine!!!)
During the alpine season, from the end of June to the end of September, you will find a "cheese shop" with seracs, tomes and raclette cheese.
In winter, the refreshment room opens on weekends from Friday noon to Sunday afternoon (except bad weather). You can enjoy a delicious soup from the chalet after a snowshoe hike or take advantage of its offer Raquette & Raclette.
