La Gouille - Alpage de l'Etoile

Starting from the Gouille pond, you will make a regular ascent of 3.5 km on a mountain path to reach the Remointse de la Couta (2281m), the highest point of the hike. From there, all you have to do is reach the Alpage de l'Etoile and its "chottes" (2190m) by taking a 1.6 km downhill path. From June onwards, you will be able to appreciate the mythical battles between the cows of the Hérens breed, particularly during the inalpe, which establishes a hierarchy within the herd. The walk lasts a little over two hours.
