Gîte L'Ecureuil - La Sage

Balcony of the Val d'Hérens, the Sage is located at 1680 m of altitude. In a small family resort, sheltered from the big mass movements. With an easy access, by one of the most beautiful tourist road of the Valais, as well in summer as in winter, a few kilometers from Sion. It is located on the Chamonix-Zermatt road.

In summer: Wonderful walks in the pastures through the most varied fauna and flora. Magnificent climbs in the high mountains and for the mountaineers summits such as the Dent Blanche, the Aiguilles Rouges, the Mont Collon, the Pigne d'Arolla, etc. Two tennis courts and a Vita track are located in the neighboring village, not to mention visits to the most typical villages.

In winter: Ski slopes for all levels surround our resort.

• In Arolla, the Fontanesses ski lifts, its ski touring, with all the hut departures and its cross-country skiing track.
• The ski lifts of Evolène.
• Cross-country skiing enthusiasts will be able to go along a magnificent track that runs along the Borgne des Haudères in Evolène.
• In Les Haudères, the village ice rink is equipped for night sports.
