From Evolène, reach Volovron (1760m), traditional passage of the mythical mountain bike race "Le Grand Raid", where you will find magnificent traditional mayens with a magnificent view of all the peaks of the upper Val d'Hérens. You will then take a forest trail for about 4 km to reach L'A Vieille (2400m). Once there, you can take advantage of the mountain pasture refreshment room to taste local products and listen to the bellowing of the stag in autumn. You also have the possibility to sleep on the spot. The hike lasts about 3 hours and 20 minutes and the return is by the same route.
