Diana Hérens" trail

The Diana d'Hérens, hunting society of the district of Hérens, gathers the Amicales des Chasseurs of Ayent, Vex - Hérémence - Les Agettes, of the right bank of the Borgne and Evolène.
The society was created in 1908 and counts today more than 400 members.
During all these years, the society has constantly evolved in order to preserve a rich and varied fauna.
The first statutes stipulate:
"...the aims of the Diana d'Hérens are to develop a common work and a rational way of the development of the game as well as the repression of the hunting offences by the appointment of gamekeepers ".
Today, hunting in Valais plays an essential role in maintaining the diversity of animal populations and in protecting the forests. The objective of this photographic trail is to show that over the past hundred years, the fauna present in our regions is partly due to the work of hunters.

Tarpaulins are installed all along the route from the Centre de Géologie des Haudères to La Sage along the Vieille Route.
