Cross country skiing - Saint-Martin

Saint-Martin/Suen

Cross country skiing:
Blaze your own trail in an unspoilt natural setting. The region is known as a paradise for cross country skiing. Numerous routes criss-cross the region from the villages to the peaks, passing by the high-altitude chalets known as "mayens" and mountain pastures. Not forgetting the "Patrouille de la Maya" course, an unmissable gathering of ski mountaineering pros headed for the Becs de Bosson mountain hut.

Safety :

Ski touring is a demanding activity that requires serious preparation and strict respect for safety rules and nature. Before setting out, take the time to get well informed and assess the risks associated with your outing.

  • The routes are neither marked nor secured. You use them entirely at your own risk. Make sure you have the necessary skills to assess terrain conditions and avalanche risks.
  • Before setting off, check the snow conditions, weather forecast, and the openig status of the routes
  • It is forbidden du descend via the ski slopes
  • Respect wildlife and flora : the mountains are also a place of tranquility for animals. Stay on the marked routes and avoid sensitive areas.
