CIME - Célébrations interculturelles de la montagne, Evolène

5 continents, one shared mountain culture!

That’s what the last 9 editions of the CIME – Intercultural Mountain Celebrations in Evolène – have proven.

Every odd-numbered year, from August 10th to 15th, five traditional arts groups from all over the world gather in Evolène for a week of sharing and conviviality. The highlight of the festival is the four to five gala performances, each bringing together nearly 1,000 spectators!

Street animations, open-air shows, craft demonstrations, conferences, and a film series are all part of this UNESCO-recognized festival, through the CIOFF network.
