Discover the new exhibition “The Evolène Cow – ProSpecieRara” at the Museum of Evolène

From July 5 to August 24, 2025, the Fondation Le Musée in Evolène is devoting an exhibition to one of the most powerful symbols of the region's identity: the Evolène cow.

With the support of ProSpecieRara, this exhibition highlights a unique heritage breed, deeply rooted in the landscapes, traditions, and lifestyle of the Val d’Hérens. Through photographs, testimonies, historical objects, and documents, it traces the history of this rustic cow, its role in the alpine economy, its combative temperament, and the efforts made to preserve it.
