The Grand Return : Maya's Patrol 2026 !
Saint-Martin is ready to be energized by ski mountaineering! On Sunday, March 1, 2026, our village will host the 19th edition of the Patrouille de la Maya, the unmissable event that, every two years, transforms the snowy foothills of the Maya into a legendary playground.
Mark this date in your calendars: over 1250 racers are expected for a day of sport, conviviality, and Alpine tradition.
What is the Patrouille de la Maya?
Born in 1990 through the drive of ski mountaineering enthusiasts, the Patrouille de la Maya quickly captured the hearts of athletes. It’s more than just a race; it's an event that prioritizes the team spirit and solidarity over pure competition.
- Unique Format: The event is run in teams of 3 racers, maintaining the spirit of mutual support at the heart of the Val d’Hérens.
- Organized by Passionate Volunteers: The event's success relies on a team of friends from the Saint-Martin Ski Club, the "Maya Dynamic" group, supported by over 200 volunteers mobilized across the entire Val d’Hérens. It is thanks to their unwavering commitment that the event has become a benchmark in the Swiss calendar!
An Idyllic Course in the Heart of Wild Nature :
The Patrouille is renowned for its special atmosphere and its breathtaking route, which winds through a completely preserved environment between the Val d’Hérens and the Vallon de Réchy.
