Okinawa Troupe Tour – Japan

From 19 to 21 September, the Evolène region will have the pleasure of welcoming UMUI – Guardians of Tradition, an artistic troupe from Okinawa, Japan, as part of their Swiss tour.

Directed by Daniel Lopez, this exceptional performance combines music, dance, visual projections and ancestral traditions, offering audiences a unique opportunity to discover the rich cultural heritage of the Okinawa archipelago.

Alongside the performance, a variety of events will provide further insight into Okinawan culture, including:

• a botanical day dedicated to the flora of Okinawa;
• talks on traditional Okinawan textiles;
• traditional tea ceremonies;
• opportunities to meet the artists;
• and a unique musical collaboration with musicians from the Val d'Hérens.
