Musical Walk

This hike will give you the opportunity to discover the church of Les Haudères, and two small mountain chapels (La Sage, La Forclaz).
We'll walk from one chapel to the other, and in each one you'll hear a short classical music concert lasting around twenty minutes.
The artists on this musical trek will be cellist Pascal Desarzens and mezzo-soprano Valérie Bonnard, who will present an original program. You'll discover works for cello and voice by Dmitri Shostakovich, Ralf Vaughan Williams, Gustav Holst and John Tavener, as well as arias by Purcell and Bach.

During the hike, Valérie Bonnard will be your mountain guide, introducing you to the villages and landscapes of this magnificent region.

Program :

    10am: meet in front of Les Haudères church

              Concert les Haudères
              Walk
              Concert La Sage

    12pm: picnic

              Walk
              Concert La Forclaz

    approx. 4pm: return to Les Haudères

Equipment required :

•     Good shoes with profiled soles
•     Cap, hat, sun cream, sunglasses
•     Weather-appropriate, comfortable clothing
•     Rucksack with sufficient water (min. 1 liter)
•     Picnic lunch
•     Walking sticks (if desired)
•     Camera, binoculars (if desired)
