Les Prixes - Ossona - La Luette

Set off to explore a charming route in the lower reaches of Saint-Martin along the ‘Les Prixes – Ossona – La Luette’ trail. This 7.8 km hike, which takes around 2 hours 40 minutes, is an intermediate-level route with an elevation gain of 381 m and a loss of 564 m, reaching a highest point of 1,167 m. 

The trail starts at the CarPostal stop “Les Prixes” before the village of Mase and takes you to La Luette, passing through the picturesque hamlets of Sevanne and Ossona. These sections are highlights of the hike, offering an immersion in authentic sites steeped in history and surrounded by unspoilt landscapes.

The route then continues across the Grande Combe footbridge, adding a touch of adventure and offering beautiful views of the valley. Amidst forests, clearings and open vistas, this walk charms with its diversity and peaceful atmosphere. 

Accessible and varied, this hike is ideal for discovering the region’s natural and cultural treasures whilst enjoying a beautiful route in the heart of nature. 

Access by public transport:

The starting point is accessible by CarPostal to the “Vernamiège, Les Prixes” stop on routes 386 and 388. On arrival, from La Luette, you can easily reach the town of Sion via route 381.
