🎻 Les Haudères Classical Music Festival — 24th Edition

25 July – 2 August 2026 | Les Haudères Chapel

Ten exceptional concerts in the unique acoustic setting of the chapel of Les Haudères, in the heart of the Val d'Hérens. Chamber music, solo recital, baroque, lesser-known Scandinavian repertoire, contemporary creation and the great piano tradition: a programme that brings together internationally renowned artists and a loyal audience every summer.

🗓️ Programme

Saturday 25 July — Sarah Strohm (viola) & Lidija Bizjak (piano) First prize at the 2025 Geneva Competition. A programme spanning the baroque to the 20th century: Schubert, Bach, Vieuxtemps, Stravinsky and Shostakovich's Sonata.

Sunday 26 July — Emiliano Gonzalez Toro (tenor) & Marie-Domitille Murez (harp) Roman baroque centred on Orazio Michi "dell'Arpa". Preceded by a talk from musicologist Yves Fournier. Recorded by RTS and broadcast on Espace 2.

Monday 27 July — The Curious Bards Sublimation: 18th-century early Scandinavian music, featuring nyckelharpa and hardingfele.

Tuesday 28 July — Valentin Magyar (piano) A Schubert–Liszt recital, culminating in the monumental Sonata in B minor. Preceded by a talk from Yves Fournier.

Wednesday 29 July — Ensemble Orion & Lisa Tatin (soprano) A tribute marking the 80th birthday of Valais composer Jean-Luc Darbellay: his Sept poèmes romands, alongside Berg and Mahler.

Thursday 30 July — A double celebration Free morning concert: students of the 63rd Tibor Varga Music Academy. Evening Italia! with the Quatuor Terpsycordes, mezzo-soprano Véronique Valdès and cellist François Grin: Boccherini, Verdi, Puccini, Respighi.

Friday 31 July — Quatuor Terpsycordes & Cédric Pescia (piano) The Viennese tradition: Haydn, Korngold and Mahler's Piano Quartet.

Saturday 1 August — Trio Ernest Around Brahms and his circle, rediscovering Amanda Maier alongside Reinecke.

Sunday 2 August — Cédric Pescia (piano) Closing concert: Bach's French Suites, performed in full.
