Thyon-Dixence, an unmissable event for running fans in Valais!
This great adventure has been going on for twenty-five years already on a varied course in a magnificent setting.
The course is set in one of the most beautiful valleys of the Valais Alps. The route follows roads and mountain paths under the majestic gaze of mountains such as the Dent-Blanche or the Matterhorn.
The participants walk along the banks of a small high-altitude lake or over steeper rocks at an altitude of between 2100 and 2450 m. The length of the course is 16km 350 with a positive difference in altitude of 700 m.
The aim of this route in the Val des Dix can be seen from the start: the Grande Dixence dam. The finish is on the wall of the dam, in the middle of it.
