Desalpe festival in Les Haudères

More than 100 days have passed since the Inalpe. The herds have enjoyed the freedom of the alpine pastures, while the farmers have worked hard throughout the summer, making hay and tending to their many agricultural tasks, sometimes in particularly challenging conditions.

Today, herds and farmers come together again at the mayens before gradually making their way back down to the village. It is a significant moment in the farming year, and one that deserves to be celebrated!

To highlight this special moment in the Val d’Hérens and the people who keep its agricultural traditions alive, we invite you to join us for a festive day in the enchanting setting of the village of Les Haudères and the Hérens Aréna.

Under the auspices of the Association de la Maison des Reines, the organising committee has put together a day combining living traditions, conviviality and the realities of farming life today.
